SUELLEN CUSACK

Suellen Cusack was born and raised in Bundaberg, Australia, where as a child she studied classical guitar & voice. Her later studies at the Queensland Conservatorium of music mirrored her early love of both instruments and she trained with Julian Byzantine (guitar) and the world renowned vocal teacher Dr Margreta Elkins O.M.B.

Suellen's singing experience displays a broad range of Opera, Operetta & Musical theatre. She has performed in lead roles and as soloist in diverse roles such as; Rutter's Requiem (Soprano Soloist - Orpheus Singers), QYO Chamber Orchestra (Soprano Soloist -Popular Classics), Coral Coast Christmas Carols, Andrea Boccelli Australian Tour (Backing Vocalist 2008), and 'Josephine' in H.M.S Pinafore (BPI Theatre Company). Suellen made her USA & debut in the Avery Fischer Hall in New York appearing as the soprano soloist for the international acclaimed production - Scotland the Brave. She performed at the Roy Thompson Hall in Toronto before returning to Australia to sing the world premiere of Rylan Gajek's Petals of the Night at Sydney Fashion week. Suellen was selected as a soloist for the Queensland Conservatorium's 2010 "Encounters: Musical meetings between Australia and China" Chamber Concert.

Suellen considers music to be her life and she takes every opportunity to perform and enhance her comprehension and appreciation of her enormous gift. Suellen has relished the many opportunities to improve her skills whilst crafting diverse abilities of stage craft, self discipline, working effectively with a new directors, conductors, and cast members.

With each experience her passion for performance is renewed. It reaffirms her raison d'etre to pursue singing as a chosen career.
